Winter Qi~Full Eating Tips

 

Tip #1

Except for on Dec 21st, don’t eat too many sweet things and avoid things that are very oily as that energy is too acidic. Too much oily food is not beneficial for you in winter. Again, this season, soup is very good, especially slow cooked soup is very, very good. Stir-fry is also good this time of year.

 

Tip #2

A couple times a week have some mushrooms because mushrooms can really help you to cleanse the intestines.

 

 

Tip #3

In the morning, if you can, eat an apple. That is very good for detoxifying the body, and for bowel movement. It also helps strengthen the lung energy. It is best to choose apples that do not have chemical sprays on them.

 

Tip #4

In wintertime, the body tends to slow down so make sure you have enough movement.

 

Tip #5

This is an especially good time of year to do a little exercise before you eat. And be sure you do some gentle stretching beforehand.

 

Tip #6

Cupping of the torso, arms, and tailbone are also good. And, massage your stomach like we do in the Harvesting of Qi exercises, in Level One. This is very beneficial for your intestines.
